FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1) I'm confused, so you don't take insurance?

In recent decades, there has been a lack of upward adjustment in the reimbursement provided to eye care providers for their services, despite the increase in operational costs by insurance companies.

By adopting a more comprehensive pricing structure with straightforward packages, we can offer better eye care products and quicker turnaround times, all while maintaining the same out-of-pocket price when compared to numerous prevailing vision plans. By eliminating the time required for administrative tasks associated with insurance processing, we aim to optimize the functionality of our practice, reduce overhead costs, and enhance efficiency for our patients.

2) How can other places afford to take my insurance?

While other area eye care providers may take your insurance, oftentimes it means rushing through to see as many patients as possible during the day, leaving only 10-15 minutes per exam for each patient. We know this, because it was something our team grappled with in the past when we took insurance prior to 2020.

We are now able to allocate an hour for each patient. This extended timeframe facilitates a more thorough and comprehensive exam, allowing us to conduct any necessary tests, provide more accurate diagnoses, and come up with more strategic treatment plans to ensure you’re receiving the best care!

3) How soon can I be seen for an eye exam?

Oftentimes, the option for same-day or next-day appointments is available! Feel free to call us and we’ll do our best to get you in ASAP!

4) Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for services?

Yes, absolutely! We encourage our patients to use their HSA and FSA accounts. Oftentimes, they can be used on glasses, contacts, dry eye products and more! In addition, we also take Care credit and Wellcare access credit cards, too!

5) Are reimbursements possible from out of network benefits?

Dr. Hendy is committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare, along with top eyewear brands to our patients. The inclusion of vision insurance within a practice often creates an environment where patient care isn’t the top priority. These practices often limit the labs and products we can use, too! Therefore, Eyedeal Eyecare has opted against partnering with vision insurance providers. This choice enables us to prioritize the best interests of patients like you.

6) Do you accept outside prescriptions for eyewear?

YES! Once your prescription is verified, you can explore our selection of eyeglass frames or contact lenses. Our experienced staff can help you find the right fit and style to suit your needs and preferences.
