Meet the Doctor

Dr. Caroline Hendy graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1996. She was one of the first in her family to go to college and she vividly remembers the day that she decided to work towards becoming an Optometrist.

Caroline was just seven years old and was finally taken to see Dr. Porter in Geneva, Ohio. During that exam, Dr. Porter was so kind and concerned but it was after the exam that the lights truly turned on for young Caroline. She was astonished, “I saw leaves on trees!” she remembers. The overall experience was life-changing, for sure.

Since 2010, Dr. Hendy has run her solo Optometry practice, Eyedeal Eyecare (established in 1999) in London, Ky. She's the proud mother of two very smart, kind children, who have both completed their college educations. Neither of which have decided on optometry as a career.

Dr. Hendy enjoys being an empty-nester with her fiancé, Doug, and dog, Mickey, and visiting their cabin in Sevierville, Tn on the weekends. You can see the beautiful place on Facebook. It’s called Sanctuary Shores Way.
